CONSTRUCTION COMPONENTS
Construction and component specifications exceed other high end developments in Chiang Mai. Project overseen by Mr. Thamrong Somprouks, a locally renowned and internationally trained designer, contractor and engineer. Mr. Somprouks is with Queensland Engineering Co., Ltd. and is a member of the Engineering Institute of Thailand.
The designer is also an authority on building standards and often performs checks on other structures to make sure they are up to code.
Roofing and Insulation
Highest quality and strength tiling and thermal insulation to retain cool air and prevent overheating from the sun.
Plaster Walls
Special skim coating technique uses screened cement to create smooth plastered walls that can be painted or left as is, avoiding the need for wallpaper in a tropical and humid environment.
Exterior Wooden Trim
100+ year old highly seasoned teak wood that maintains traditional “Lanna” look, prevents warping and is resistant to both tropical climates and termites.
Flooring
The flooring made from ‘engineered wood’ with the look of real wood but considerably more durable and not prone to the warping and cracking that normal wood flooring is.
Bathroom Flooring
Ping Wali units feature COTTO granitto tiles, manufactured by SCG, as well as handmade clay tiles from L-Thai for quality and a pleasing aesthetic.
Doors and Windows
The doors and windows are constructed using a very strong and hard native wood and teak-wood, respectively. This wood will be taken from old houses in the area to ensure it is seasoned, solid and termite proof. Windows are made from 6 mm-10mm tempered glass.

Hallways
Ping Wali has wide and open hallways that allow airflow and river views and create a natural relaxed atmosphere.
Concrete Pilings
15-meters deep to reach hard rock and ensure strong foundations.
Restraining Wall
12-meters deep along the river to protect the structure and riverbank from soil erosion.
Trenching and Hollow Earth Wall
Increase vibration protection of the unit in the event of an earthquake and reduce impact of ambient vibrations.
Structural Reinforcements
Extra steel rods have been incorporated to strengthen links between beams and columns and protect against earthquakes.
